Community Garden

In 2019, the United Way constructed and planted a community garden (raised beds) in the area behind The Good Stuff Thrift Store.  As the season wound down, there was a bounty of produce -- from strawberries to lettuce, tomatoes and even eggplant -- for the harvest and use of Shelton residents.

Here are some "Before" images taken in mid-April 2019 following a massive clean-up by volunteers for United Way.

At the end of April, all the raised beds and soil were on-site.

By the end of June, there was significant growth, and an attractive fence and seating area were added.
